First Entry

So I have decided to keep a blog while I'm oversees so I can remember everything I do while over here in Europe! It has almost been a full 3 weeks in London and it has been unbelievable. I arrived at Heathrow Airport on January 12th and I'm staying until May 11th then off in June to spend 3 weeks in Catana Italy. The first week here we stayed at the Copthorne Tara Hotel near High St in Kensington. The week was full of exploring London and flat hunting. My roommates Amanda, Cameron, and Megan found our flat on the second day there and it was the first one we saw. It was a great deal in Earl's Court with free wifi, cable, and it's so cute/homey. Earl's Court is a central stop on the tube and one stop away from the London Center and is lined with great restaurants and pubs. We even have our own little "gem" at the end of our street called Miss Qs where we met some really nice chaps who bought us a bottle of wine and showed us their European moves on the dance floor (Amanda almost got engaged that night). Amanda, Cameron, and I have spent a lot of time on the dance floors here in London. I only have 2 classes on Monday and 1 class on Wednesday and have not started my internship yet so I have had a lot of free time. My roommates and I have made it a point to keep busy and do something almost every night which is great for getting to know London and which scene we like best. The first couple weeks here we found some great clubs in Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, and in Fulham Broadway. We enjoyed "rockyoke" at the Roadhouse on the first night out where we met a great group of policemen (not) but thats when Amanda and I fell in love with our Tony haha. The Ithaca people are big fans of the King's Head and Belushis (for jager weds..gross!) Just the other night we got a free table and free bottle of Grey Goose because we brought 10 girls to Club Opal. It was a chill place that looked like a cave and consisted of all IC people. Amanda and I have been able to see a lot of Siena who lives super close so it is nice to catch up with her for dinners and our sunday "talk seshs".
As far as travels go Cam, Amanda, and I are off to Paris for the weekend =) We have also planned our trip to Dublin in March with Siena the weekend after St. Patty's Day. We still have to plan Amsterdam where I will meet up with Milly and I need to plan Spring Break in March but where to go? We are thinking Barcelona and a little Italy. The school also has trips to Liverpool (Beatlemania) and Edinborough which should be exciting. Well I have so much to tell but I don't want this to be too long...I will post after my trip to Paris! More adventures to come...
